Arm Pain

When I first started care I hadn't been able to lift my arm over my head for more than a year. Since I've been seeing Dr. Haugen, I've finally been able to use my arm without any pain. I used to have terrible pain whenever I put my clothes on or tried to do my hair and make-up. Dr. Haugen took x-rays and then took the time to explain to me why I was having this pain in my arm. After he explained what he was going to do in detail, he used chiropractic adjustments to correct my problem. Today, I can lift my arm over my head without any pain. Putting my clothes on and doing my hair is once again easy! Thank you Dr. Haugen.

I have had pain in my neck and right shoulder for years. I couldn't even lean on a counter without it hurting. Every time I would turn my head to the right it would cause me pain. Pain After Surgeries

I had my first spinal fusion in 2002 on my low back. I had my second spinal fusion in 2007 on my lower neck. I developed a lot of scar tissue and arthritis in these two spots. I had had a hard time sleeping at night and my hands would go numb. I couldn’t stand very long without having pain in my low back. Overall I felt like I had lost a lot of my mobility. I have had all kinds of therapy in 25 years and this is the first clinic and first machine that has really helped this quick and this much. After my very first treatment I slept through the entire night for the first time in months. I also noticed that I was able to stand around without having pain in my low back. I’m walking proof that it works.

KIDS

I had my son in May 2010. When he was two weeks he stopped having bowel movements. Breastfed babies should have 2-3 dirty diapers a day at least. The pediatrician told me to give him a suppository every 3 to 4 days. After Dr. Haugen treated my son I was amazed. My son had his own bowel movements within the next 24 hours. I have taken my son in for about 6 treatments for this condition within a period of 2 months and today he is 7 months old and he doesn't have the problems as he did.

At 7 weeks old, my son developed Colic. Colic is severe abdominal pain caused by spasm, obstruction, or distention of the intestines. The pediatrician told my husband and I this condition would last up to 6 months old. We were told to take 15 minute shifts in caring for him. I took my son to Dr. Haugen. After 4 treatments, my son quit crying and became a happy camper.

At 5 months old my son had a double inner ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin. Amoxicillin - "the pink stuff" - this is the standard first-line treatment used by most doctors, and rightly so. It works well most of the time, is inexpensive, tastes pretty good, and is easy on the stomach and intestines. But is NOT so good for infants, side effects can include: diarrhea, fungal diaper rash, oral thrush, vomiting and / or rash. Dr. Haugen treated my son for his ears and recommended vitamin D along with probiotics daily.

Today my son is 7 months old and is 100% better. I am amazed how quickly the babies grow and change in one year. No wonder they have pains and aches. I highly recommend mothers to take their precious bundle of joy to the chiropractor. I do take my son to the chiropractor before I take him to the clinic. Dr. Haugen does a great job frome explaining what the causes are and the treatment plan is and how to avoid reoccurrences. I do respect the honesty and kind heartedness that Dr. Haugen and his staff have shown my family.

I brought my son in to see Dr. Haugen for headaches. I had Raiden to the eye doctor and he was fine, but still getting headaches at least 2 to 3 times a week. Dr. Haugen has done a great job on helping Raiden with his headaches. After Dr. Haugen's treatments he rarely gets a headache. Before I started visiting Big Stone Chiropractic, I was suffering from bad headaches. My headaches kept me from going to school and having a normal teenage life. I had made many visits to my local doctor and they were not able to help. I was then referred to a pediatric neurologist, who put me on a medication that did not work. After the medication failed I tried a chiropractor who also did not help. Dr. Haugen helped me with my headaches and now I am able to go to full days of school. Jaw Pain

My jaw "locked" and I was unable to brush my teeth properly, eat without trouble and was extremely uncomfortable. After one treatment I was AMAZED at the improvement. I have resumed properly brushing, flossing, and eating!

Headaches

When I came to see Dr. Haugen I had been suffering from SEVERE Migraine headaches. This had been going on for years but had gotten increasing worse in the year before I came to see Dr. Haugen. I was just miserable!! It had gotten to the point that I could hardly function everyday. I would wake up with a severe headache suffer all day and then go to bed with the same problem. The only relief (though it was a temporary fix) was through prescription drugs, which was a “catch 22”. If I took the drugs then I knew I would be “down and out” for at least half the day then once the headache was gone, I still had to deal with the side effects of the drugs which made me feel horrible. If I did not take the prescription drugs I would take over the counter medication and it would not even make a dent in my pain. Pain became a daily thing. People that don’t know what a “migraine” is it is hard to understand, that you literally cannot function and carry on a normal day. In addition to the headaches I had terrible neck and shoulder pain which I had gone to other doctors for help but it was only a temporary fix, pain would be gone for a week maybe and then back again. I knew my problem was in my neck causing the migraines. It was horrible. I went to see Dr. Haugen and he diagnosed the problem in my neck and he proceeded to “fix me”. After just a few visits my migraines started getting less and less painful and now I very seldom have a migraine. I still have occasional headaches, but NOTHING like I had before. I finally feel normal. I can enjoy my family and carry on with my day to day life without pain and medication! For that I am so grateful to Dr. Haugen. Thank you is not enough to express what he has done for me. Without his help I would still be suffering and probably have many other problems. He not only helped me, but my whole family. For that, I am so grateful I feel I owe him so much. Thank you Dr. Haugen for giving me back my life!
